Cuckoo Farm
Cuckoo Farm is situated in the county of Rutland between the villages of Ketton and South Luffenham and is 3 miles from Rutland Water and 5 miles from Stamford.
The farm is in a secluded position, next to a golf club and bordered by the River Chater. Guests may go fishing.
Cuckoo Farm is a working farm, mainly arable with an organic free-range poultry enterprise producing organic free range chickens, cockerels, geese and rare breed traditional turkeys. A herd of Fallow deer grazes round the poultry huts. The farm participates in the Countryside Stewardship Scheme.
Guests staying for a week receive a free organic chicken - oven-ready of course!
Cuckoo Farm Barn
Our cottage is available for self-catering holidays. It has two bedrooms upstairs each with twin beds and a bathroom with shower over the bath. Downstairs is a sitting room with open fire, also television and dvd. From the sitting room there is a door to a large covered patio area looking out over the garden and the River Chater. The separate dining room adjoins the kitchen which is fully equipped with fridge, freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and dryer, electric cooker and microwave.

Please call us on 01780 722009 to check availability and book your holiday. A map will be sent to you together with confirmation of your booking once this is made. Not available November/December.
The Cottage
Cuckoo Farm Barn is a spacious two bedroom cottage, finished to a high standard throughout, converted from a stone barn.
There are exposed stone walls and beams, giving the property great character. An open, brick-built fireplace in the sitting room makes a charming feature.
Outside, a large covered patio area looks across the garden towards the river.
Sitting Room
The brick-built open fireplace with exposed beam is a major feature of the sitting room. There is a TV and DVD player.
The patio is reached through a door from the sitting room.
Dining Room
The dining room lies between the sitting room and kitchen.
A high chair is available if required.
Kitchen
The kitchen is well equipped, with an electric cooker, microwave, dishwasher, 'fridge, freezer, washing machine, tumble drier, cutlery and crockery.
We also provide kitchen roll, cling film, foil, washing-up liquid, dishwasher tablets (not washing powder), toilet paper and soap.
Upstairs
There are two large double bedrooms, one is large enough for extra beds if necessary. The bathroom has w.c., hand wash basin and bath with shower over.
Bedroom One
Bedroom one has twin beds and plenty of storage and wardrobe space.
There is an exposed stone wall, beams and velux windows with blinds.
A travel cot is available at no extra charge (no linen).
Bedroom Two
Bedroom two is 15 feet by 15 feet. It has twin beds and two extra full size beds can easily be accommodated if required.
This room also has exposed beams, velux windows and a feature niche.
