Organic Goose rearing
The fully organic goslings come to us as day olds. We rear them on organic approved pellets and they go outside as soon as they are big enough not to become crow fodder.
Once off heat and outside, they graze on our organic pasture and swim on the River Chater.
We put our geese in an enclosure at night to protect them from foxes.
Free-range Organic Goose
An organic free-range goose from Rutland Organics grazes the grassland on the banks of the river Chater and the stubble after crops.
We supplement the grazing with a cereal-based organic-approved pellet and/or home-grown cereals.
Our geese grow slowly, ensuring a superb flavour.
All our birds are free-range organic.
Oven-ready Organic Goose
Your organic goose has guaranteed provenance. We slaughter, pluck and dress all our birds on the farm.
We dry-pluck and wax geese for a clean finish.
